Johnson done deal now Cooper and I will be a happy chappy well done Johnson just shows you not all about money and so called bigger clubs gives me a bit of faith back into the game that there is actually youngsters out there that want to play football for a club they love and the fans that support them again well done mate.

Your right skegs, it does make a change. We normally sell our future stars to balance the books. He has been with us since 8 years old, his family all attend matches, his dad seems a good influence, what's not to like. He will probably move on eventually, making us a profit but for now he's one of us. Long may it continue.

Spot on skegs I've been saying it all week ?.

Slight correction balloons, you’ve been telling us a player who wasn’t our player in the first place is a Judas because he’s not signing for us .

Johnson on the other hand has been nurtured and developed by the club, for many years, at great expense to the club. Morally Johnson has done the right has done the right thing to ensure one day we get the best return for the investment we’ve made in him .

I’ll guarantee you now he has a release clause and has only resigned so that the club make the most from him as they can (long contract means bigger sale fee), that’s the right thing for all parties and play to the lad for his part in that .

Johnson will want to play at the highest level and it’s unlikely he will get that with us - miracles can happen but it’s not that likely .

Therefore he won’t be intending to stay for the duration of his contract but recognises by signing the club, make the maximum return on the sale when he finally goes . Will he be in Judas when that happens? Or will we recognise his right to earn the maximum amount of money from the skills that he has?

No 2star if he leaves he'll be a judas ??
He'll have a get out clause if we go back down which is fair enough. If we do well he will stay, he'll only be 25 when it ends Got years to hit the big time. But when he pulls the badge up and kisses it he means it unlike Spence who had one good season and thinks he's arrived. Most of his good football was created in tandem with Brennan anyway.
Seen it all before big headed kid thinks he's arrived. Brennan level headed and still realises at the same age he's still learning.
Remember this debate till the end of the season, I think Spence will flop and be a stiff as Spurs, be interesting to see who was right. ?.

Spence gave us his all this season, we got promoted and he got a big move from Boro, good luck to the lad.

As 2 Star said, you haven't been saying that at all, if you think Spence is a Judas I think we all know what that makes you fella:)

The debate is about who’s a Judas, Johnson will shine better individually than Spence will at spurs as he will play more, Spence may see being part of a champions league squad as being more successful. The discussion is your insistence a player who wasn’t our player is a Judas for not signing for us . Johnson owes the club much more as we’ve developed him, Spence owed us nothing more than to give his all every week.

All good fun 2star can't wack a bit of controversy to whip things up on a boring Saturday afternoon watching all the Brits getting hammered at Wimbledon.
Just a few more weeks then we can stop pretending we like cricket and get on with the real sport. ???.
