Hoping to see both Robinson and Milosovic to be reinstated tonight to give us a more solid back four.
Since Milosovic has not been playing Benaloane has looked at best distinctly average and try as I might I cannot get my head around the idea of playing Murphy to be almost used as a centre half as Mr O'neill stated on Saturday to assist at set pieces,corners and long throw ins.
This may be a tactic if you are going somewhere to pick up a point but surely not at Rotherham and to play a 4 4 2 formation with one of those 2 being 36 years of age and not blessed with electric pace being expected at times to go from one end of the pitch to the other surely negates the whole idea of two up front. ( this is not a dig at Murphy by the way )
Thats my two pennorth for today anyway and soon be in the car to Hillsbog ( really don't like that ground at all ).

If MON wants to play with the wing backs giving us width and two strikers shouldn't he play 3 at three back? Something like this...

It's basically 3-5-2 but I have tried to separate the 5 midfield players. To me that team looks more solid at the back AND more attacking.

the truth is it doesn't matter what formation you play, your taller attacking players are always expected to defend at set pieces so I'm not sure what you mean. It has nothing to do with the formation, most managers would ask Murphy to defend set pieces.
