I have noticed NNR post and if his figures are right that means Martin has got more points than Aitor did in his first thirteen games, that is fair enough as Aitor had a quite poor team to work with.

That team for the most part was the team Warburton got us to avoid relegation with, then in the summer transfer window Warburton only was allowed to spend something like £5m.

Aitor then joined the Forest family and was allowed to bring in loads of players in January, so he could not say they were not his players.

Along comes the summer transfer window and Aitor got to spend around £25m, yet after all the players he brought in over two transfer windows in his last thirteen games Aitor still managed less points than Martin.

Martins style of football can not be considered good in any way what so ever, but how many of them are his, how much has he spent, and how many transfer windows has he had.

Yet he has still managed more points than both Aitor's first and last thirteen games in charge.

That is a very poor state of affairs considering what he was given.

Yes LC, I get your point, but with more players and transfer windows, can you truly see the style of football O’Neill chooses to play changing, I can’t.
Will it be electric attacking football with goals galore and clean sheets at the back? I think not.

No TAP, i can not see that. That is not what Martin has made his teams usual style of play.there again Aitor was not renowned for getting Middlesbrough to play that way either.

Aitor's style is possession based, similar to Warburtons, although Martins is a ugly style it is about getting forward to as quickly as possible.

If Martins style gets us promoted next season then i will take that, as someone said a while back he is only a stop gap, mind you every manager seems to be a stop gap.

Out of interest TAP, who out of all the managers Forest could realistically hope to attract actually get their teams to play the way you have mentioned.?

Not realistic now but we were rumoured to have been sniffing around Eddie Howe, a few years ago. He got his new contract and our chance passed us by. Now PL and too big a fish. Lower league the best we can hope for but not really working for Stoke, yet.

To be honest LC, out of all the names bandied round when we parted company with Karanka, I wanted Jokanovic.
