Just watching wolves and manutd on the box. The Portuguese lads look superb- it just makes me feel like we have had our pants well and truly pulled down. Did anyone actually look at our Portuguese signings before we made a move for them, or were they signed solely on the say so of the super agent?

They were signed on the basis of their talent, the people at the club saw them as a shiny new toy with all the bells and whistles, but forgot to check their suitability for the task in hand, are they up to the stress and strains of the Championship.

To all you Cavalho fans. What would you have said if we had signed him on loan with a view to buy for 12 million at end of season. Not many takers I think. In all honesty 2 million is more than I'd be willing to pay for him. He's just a poor man's Majewski. As for the other 2 they were just not at the races. 3 blunt attacking threats that have blighted our seasons work and it's that lack of threat that's hindering the new manager as well.Needs sorting at end of season l.

THE difference with Wolves Portuguese players they had better players around them plus a manager that played exciting attacking football who has a plan b we have an average group of other players an no defence plus a manager who was so defensive an had no plan b

People bitch when carvalho doesn't play they bitch when he does play, he and Murphy made the difference when they came on last game, then again we could have Ronaldo playing fans would still say yes crap , let's get in the prem and if we do i honesty think he'll prove all his doubters wrong

Dan, The club did not pay £13m for him to only come good when we get in the Premier League, they paid £13m for him to get us to the Premier League. For what he cost he has not done enough to justify his price tag.

We’ve paid 3 million up to yet. Are we all in agreement he will be better next season? And that he has potential to be one of the best in the league. Weve seen the way he’s assisted and got second assists. I think if we sold him it would be another player who will reach his potential with someone else.

The prices for players is at a stupid level now I would like us to get back to the good old days when most of the team came through the youth system , would like to see young appiah get a shot .

Redtree, I have said before Carvalho has talent.
Next season if he can finally start to get to grips and cope with the physical side of the game he could well be one of the best in the league.
You say we have only paid £3m for him so far, £13m still has to be paid so pointing out a lesser fee means nothing.
£13m for a player with potential, all be it bags of potential is something most Championship clubs can ill afford.
We could have signed 2/3 proven players for that money.
