I wish he wasn’t mentally paranoid

06 Feb 2019 12:38:03
Hope so. King Billy has unfinished business.

Makes me laugh how the only decent manager we had over the last 20 years gets so much stick on here

06 Feb 2019 14:42:36
I would say he is better than decent. It is just a shame he is a fruit loop.

06 Feb 2019 14:50:31
Stevie, two things that bind us as kindred souls. Our despise of the Sadpies and the view that you state above - which for me is indisputable . Billy mark 1 had a small tight knit squad, all working hard for each other, all on about six million. Despite people’s protestations developed some good young players, because they weren’t mainly from our academy it seemingly doesn’t count. That work was started by calderwood but he didn’t come in and administer a petulant clearout. Cohen, mcgugan, Mcleary and Gunter all prospered under him. O’Neil might do the same yet, I think the last few years have really shown how good a coach / manager , (or whatever he is) actually was.

His mistake was to turn the City Ground into a fortress, and ban all the Media people he didn't like. Oh yes and giving a well paid job to a relative of dubious background.

06 Feb 2019 16:50:44
Fawaz gave him too much power in the club.

06 Feb 2019 18:04:09
You got it red tree- one of the worst things with Fawaz was that he trusted prince billy. What an awful judge of character he was, prince billy lost two winnable play offs but with clever use of his ‘managed’ media he brainwashed some fans into believing he was faultless. I wouldn’t let him run round the block by himself let alone run a football club.
Skeg - ttheyre coming to take me away aha they’re coming to take me away. please book me into another session with my therapist 🤣

06 Feb 2019 18:57:56
Nobody believed he was faultless but at least he got us into 2 ‘winnable “ play offs which is more than anyone else has managed

06 Feb 2019 19:43:21
The best loser we’ve had for years ? 🤔

06 Feb 2019 19:57:33
Lol 2tone was waiting for you mate it took long enough I’m waiting for dougie freedman to be mentioned coming back and I will be joining you at the therapists lol

06 Feb 2019 21:15:22
It’s amazing after spending over 23 million plus wages karanka was being hailed as a success for getting us around the top 6 billy actually got us into the play offs and then is described as a loser ,some twisted logic on here

06 Feb 2019 21:30:26
So getting a team into the play offs makes him a success? We should have got promoted both times yet we ended up being blown away and embarrassed. I wasn’t one who backed Krankie so no twisted logic from me Stevie but I just can’t call a manager, who has never won anything for us and in fact lost the two biggest ties we’ve been involved in for years, a winner. Surely that would be mad 🤔

06 Feb 2019 21:41:36
2tone didn’t say he was a success mate just less of a failure than any other manager we’ve had in the last 20 years lol

06 Feb 2019 21:46:16
Here we go again harping back to the past pretending things were wonderful.

Little wonder we can never get past the default panic button halfway through a season? The bottom line is that "No Mates" failed and bottled the big matches tactically when it really mattered.

He was also very good at buying over the hill injury prone has beens!

Thankfully he has his place in history. With the dinosaurs and extinct!

Please leave all this negativity on the last wave and jump on the next one?

Onward & Upward

Stevie - I’ll agree with that description of billy 🤣 we did have some fantastic performances during Billy’s reign and i actually had one of my best days out with forest away at West Brom - beer, snow, curry, laughs and 3 points - great times. I just can’t stand the man and I really do feel that he let us all down and caused a huge amount of damage to the club and diviision amongst the fans. Anyway, fingers crossed that we have something to cheer about in the near future and don’t have to mention him again 🤷🏻‍♂️

06 Feb 2019 22:16:10
Blimey red in exile- ease up, that’s my mate you’re talking about 🤣

06 Feb 2019 22:30:27
You know when you say you wear lucky red pants to games?
Are you accompanied by two men in white coats and are the handcuffs visible? 😁😁🤣🤣🤣🤣

06 Feb 2019 22:37:13
Wow for once I agree with you red might be just the once but totally agree onwards and upwards

06 Feb 2019 23:57:57
readinexile you must have totally misread any post I put on here about billy. all I said was I am amazed he gets as much abuse as he does given some of the other planks we’ve had managing the club in recent years , didn’t say I wanted him to come back or he was perfect,, he got us nearer than most to where would like to be that’s all, Considering we’ve had such luminaries as Megson , platt, warburton ,and mcleish I just think he gets singled out more than most a bit unfairly,

07 Feb 2019 00:36:57
Red is having his medicine now Stevie.
How can you take any notice of someone who thinks wearing lucky red pants takes us to the promised land of the prem and sees ships moored on the trent outside the ground?
He's told us were pissed when we cross the trent?
Well I've still never seen a ship.😁😁😁
