Can't be bothered to moan that much, as this is exactly what I expected to happen to our season when AK was let go.

Ridiculous, 2006-style football being played by the miracle working new management team. I hope everyone who wanted AK gone also wanted Murphy and Watson as linchpins, because that's what it's looking like.

If we finish top half, I'll be surprised. There are WAY too many teams galvanised and hoping to crash the playoffs. We haven't a prayer.

I hope we're able to get some mo way back on Carvalho, as he won't get in the team any time soon, playing old-school hoofball like this.

Season is well and truly over. Aiming for 12th place again.

Agree6 Disagree1

Now watching Leeds Norwich 2 teams playing fast high tempo attacking football this is how the game is played these days hope its played back to the squad and management team. We couldn't cope with a diamond formation today.

Couldn’t agree more Irish Red, just knew that this was the style of football we’d be served up.

02 Feb 2019 17:54:31
Agreed. Shocking starting 11. It seems Picking Murphy ahead of a striker on 15 goals is more to help defend opposition set pieces than for any attacking threat. Osborn in the no.10 roll lol.
If Lolley doesn't perform then where is the threat in that starting team?
Get used to boring predictable tactics as that has always been his style.
Can't keep relying on speculative 25 yard strikes and a dodgy keeper not being able to keep them out like last week.

Like I say Irish we’d have got at least 3 points from reading , Bristol and Birmingham. It is what it is now mate albeit I think it’s a little early to castigate the manager. I’m sure he’s got more in his locker than what we’ve seen so far

02 Feb 2019 18:03:28
I didn’t want karanka to go either but some seem to have selective memory syndrome regarding some of the ‘entertainment ‘we were getting under his management

02 Feb 2019 18:17:36
I have no selective memory, and I’m not having a go at the new manager either. .but if we YET AGAIN change the entire setup of the team mid-season, what can we possibly expect to happen?!?

I just hope something changes in the summer, because if not, he’ll be let go in December next year, and another new man will come in and click “reset”.

I’m genuinely worried about what’s coming for the team. Keane will no doubt start bullying players soon. You can defend him all you like, but high-profile players have walked out on him everywhere he’s been and let’s not forget what he did to Alfie Haaland. I don’t care about his Forest links, or that he’s a fellow Irishman - the man is a scumbag and I’m gutted he’s back at our club.

I’m hoping MO’N can turn things around, as I absolutely love the man, but we are seeing him in his last ever job - the game has moved on, I’m afraid.

Without some sort of miracle, I’m gearing up for pre-season already.

Irish red like I said I wanted karanka to stay in place too but let’s not forget he walked and, something was going badly wrong for a month or so before he did, as for your comment on keane, I don’t like people being called scumbags on here really , unless of course it’s McLean

02 Feb 2019 18:40:35
Irish red you have really got my goat tonight. For the record keane took sunderland from nowhere to promotion. He is a class act and he and oneil had dross to work with in the irish job. We are lrss than a fortnight in and have been ravaged with injuries and suspensions in key areas.

Graban has been injured or disruptive ir both. AK was a bsng average coach. And bought generally dross. Get behind this set up as its a potentially very good collaboration. Moaners like you will see keano off pronto. This set up is worth our support!

02 Feb 2019 19:13:07
Rutland red what gets me mate is a lot of people on here wanted us all to be patient and give karanka a season at least myself included , but now some of these same people are on moaning about O’Neill after 3 games!you couldn’t make it up,

02 Feb 2019 19:20:41
But karanka could have stayed,it was his decision to leave.

02 Feb 2019 19:26:12
Like I said if you read my post - I’m not moaning about O’Neill. .I’m moaning that we’ve changed mid season again. I’m not saying AK was great and I’m not saying MON is bad. I’m saying what do you expect when you keep changing the plan midway through a season.

As for McLean, I never understand why people hare him so much. He has explained his Poppy situation at great length, as his family suffered at the hands of British forces. I don’t agree with him, but he at least stands by what he said. And as for Keane, yes he’s a legend of a player, but he’s a thug. No one can deny that.

I hope they come good. I always back my team and my manager, but something in the hierarchy has to change, as this lack of patience to see a manager fulfill the brief is killing us.

Yeah because if I worked in Ireland turned my back on the Irish anthem and slagged off the Irish forces everybody would love me
