A guy I work with is from Portugal so he's now become an expert on Forest overnight (his opinion) He seems to think we could go in for Joel Tagueu, A 24 year old Cameroonian centre forward who plays for Maritimo and is represented by gestifute/ Jorge Mendes.

Had anybody heard of Teemu Pukki before he finished top scorer for Norwich last season? We need to be realistic on who we can afford and get behind whoever we bring in. Personally I think this could be a very good bit of business.

I wouldn't be against Marriot coming our way if a reasonable price could be arranged and not the the silly numbers being touted around by the posh chairman.
I guess Cummings has gone there to see if they can mould him into a striker like they've done in the past with Gayle and Britt which makes me wonder if we should be looking to sign the Peterborough scouts/coaches instead of paying millions for their latest find in the bargain bins! (Which they keep doing).

Byram would be a season long loan and talks of 3m for Fabio from Middlesbrough. That would be LB and Rb taken care of.

It makes it even worse when you see Charlie Austin signed for 4m by West Brom, Nakhi Wells signed on loan by QPR, Benik Afobe signed on loan by Bristol city, Scott Hogan signed on loan by Stoke, Eddie Nketiah signed on loan by Leeds. Any of these would of been a good addition.

Spending big on a striker doesn't guarantee anything. Middlesbrough spent big on Assombalonga, WBA had Gayle and Rodriguez yet it was Norwich with Teemu Pukki (free) and Sheffield utd with Sharpe and Mcgoldrick (free) who shone last year. Yes Mir could be another be another flop be he could also be another Pukki. We don't know until he's had a chance, at least we won't have spent millions to find out.

Also considering all the midfielders Leicester have at the minute I would love us to try and sign Harvey Barnes on loan. Was class last season for West Brom and when he was recalled by Leicester at Christmas.

Abraham will be leading the line for Chelsea this season. If we're looking for prem strikers more likely be someone like Charlie Austin from Southampton who has been told he can leave. Dwight Gayle and Colback from Newcastle would be good.
