Cummings on loan to St Johnstone it seems. Contract ends next summer.

J65 nffc

1.) 24 Jul 2019 15:46:00
Trouble is nobody wants to spend any money on him. Or offer him a salary near what he gets at Forest. Presumably we'd have to subsidise his salary at St J!?

2.) 24 Jul 2019 16:45:47
I'm afraid we will pay most of his wage, but at least we are rid of him.

3.) 24 Jul 2019 16:47:12
He will be back with us before his loan deal expires. With the Scottish police in close pursuit probably.
What a complete pratt.

4.) 24 Jul 2019 21:24:12
The deal includes sending up Kenny Burns as his minder to make sure he never comes back!
Good riddance to an utter waste of space.

5.) 24 Jul 2019 22:46:15
Kenny Burns. Leave him alone red. Hero of mine. Played with and against him as semi pro late in his career.
He talks a lot of sense too. That much football knowledge should not be ridiculed.

6.) 25 Jul 2019 06:39:58
Gazzi, his views on football are out dated.

7.) 25 Jul 2019 08:34:03
I don’t think Mr Warburton had much success with the players he signed, for example Cummings, the lad we got from Rangers, Bridcutt etc.

8.) 25 Jul 2019 09:59:33
Was not picking on Kenny. His no nonsense approach should sort that little tw*t out once and for all!

23 Jul 2019 13:53:14
£5m bid accepted from Sheffield United for Ben Osborn. Deal expected to be done by the weekend.

J65 nffc

1.) 23 Jul 2019 15:35:11
Good money if true, hope we don't regret it, he is a good workhorse.

I guess Silva will chip in with the free kicks, pardon the pun.

2.) 23 Jul 2019 16:00:20
Been part of a failing squad for to many years. It's time to rethink the whole squad.
Good luck to him nice kid.
If worrell goes next good luck to him too. In the same boat good player but not class.
Same category for Cash too.
Let's face it nobody wants the magnificent 7.Murphy, Cummings Clough etc. got to raise striker cash from somewhere.

3.) 23 Jul 2019 17:08:12
Read someone say “5 mil is a great deal for a player whose best attribute is his work rate”. opinions?

4.) 23 Jul 2019 19:36:38
He'll be back in the championship next season, either with sheff utd or another team. Work rate, he has it in abundance but that's as far is it goes. He doesn't do anything else particularly well. 5m for a player of his quality in the last year of his contract is daylight robbery by Forest. Maybe some supporting will talk about how he's been such a great servant but at the end of the day, he's not good enough and sheff utd will soon understand that his so called stats, don't quite add up.

5.) 23 Jul 2019 21:19:19
Absolutely spot on. Benny gives 100% but has flatlined in progression for a while. Too small as a LB, too few goals as a CM. 5M is a deal well done.

6.) 23 Jul 2019 21:43:46
1 year left on his contract is good business. Hopefully the ball will now get moved forward more quickly in midfield without the compulsory check and turn?

7.) 23 Jul 2019 22:18:24
Haha RIE, that's all Osborn can do. Run 20 yards. Stop. Turn. Pass it back 30 yards. Momentum, gone.

8.) 23 Jul 2019 22:40:15
Funny how if I said that about Osborn, which I have on many occasions, you would disagree and say what a player he was redinexile.
Good to see him gone great engine but no football brain.

9.) 24 Jul 2019 09:25:18
He's only crime is having the ability to play in many positions and had to develop a career with one manager after another with differing football tactics and no appreciation of their best team let alone this lads best position. Are you all saying a championship winning manager renowned for picking up bargains doesn't know what he's doing? He will be sorely missed as the lad who gave his all in whatever role he was asked to do that many of his more experienced colleagues couldn't do. He reminds me of Ian Bowyer not the most gifted but does a great job for the team.

10.) 24 Jul 2019 11:47:17
Personally, I'm looking forward to his inevitable transfer to Derby County later down the line. Should make for a fun CG return.

11.) 24 Jul 2019 18:23:13
Only £3 million-disappointing. Why contract not renewed earlier?!

12.) 24 Jul 2019 20:28:16
Osborn has a loyalty and commitment to Forest that no one can deny. When he is allowed to play midfield he is a completely selfless player. Chris Wilder is a common sense manager and I think Benny will show the doubters on this site that he made a good move. AV and Sheffield will stay up next season due to their managers buying sensibly a few players to fit a successful team. We buy as many as we can and completely change everything! Good luck to Benny.

NFFC linked with 31 year old LB Martin Olsson available on a free from Swansea.

J65 nffc

1.) 05 Jun 2019 14:13:21
He suffered a ruptured achilles while playing for them.

2.) 05 Jun 2019 14:21:07
Perfect for us then!

3.) 05 Jun 2019 14:33:55
Not a good signing. Agent talk probably.

4.) 05 Jun 2019 20:13:23
We need high energy and pace in our full/wing backs from experienced Championship /Premiership players in their early/ mid 20's.
So for me at left back so far it's Bidwell or Knudsen unless we magic someone out the Premiership?

5.) 05 Jun 2019 20:58:26
Agreed red.
No rubbish loanees or journey men.
We experienced blood who will play their hearts out for the garibaldi. ????

6.) 06 Jun 2019 08:54:15
He is old but still has pace and stamina in all fairness. Experienced too. Only worry for me is his injury fitness

30 May 2019 12:19:47
Forest linked with Stuani again.
Cant see it happening myself, but would be a top signing for bargain 6m transfer fee.
19 goals in La Liga for a relegated side. No wonder Barcelona are interested in him too.

1.) 30 May 2019 14:02:10
If it’s between us and Barca there’s only one club he’s going to end up at.

Who’s getting his name on the back of their shirt?

2.) 30 May 2019 15:09:02
Hopefully he is hungry for game time - something less likely at Barcelona

3.) 31 May 2019 12:33:57
If he is hungry for money J65, it's much less likey at Forest.

4.) 01 Jun 2019 00:02:41
A Barcelona fan red tree

15 May 2019 11:35:03
NFFC linked with Asmir Beogivic, 31 and out of favour with Bournemouth.

Talk of £7.5m asking price and £70k wage.

Opinions?

J65 nffc

1.) 15 May 2019 16:27:00
I sincerely hope not!

2.) 15 May 2019 17:01:30
Dead wood.

3.) 15 May 2019 18:32:57
Paper talk we can't afford that on a goalkeeper

4.) 15 May 2019 19:00:19
The club should not pay any player £70,000 a week. A player wanting those wages at a Championship club is not worth having in my opinion.

He can do one.

5.) 17 May 2019 13:14:07
70k is his current wage. He would obviously have to drop that if he dropped a division.

6.) 19 May 2019 16:34:55
I don't understan Forest in recent years buying players and not giving them chance on the field. Are we just moving money around?

Nuno Da Costa set to be complete in the next few hours, reportedly.

Opinion: If we sign a striker between now and Friday, would you still recall Walker from his loan?

I, personally wouldn't, unless we got an injury up front.

J65 nffc

1.) 27 Jan 2020 15:33:11
I’ve watched some footage of da Costa on YouTube, seems to finish quite well into the corners and sides of the goal. Wether he is Championship quality remains to be seen, but let’s give him a warm welcome if he does arrive. I would still recall Walker, the kid has done everything asked of him- and more.

2.) 27 Jan 2020 16:37:26
I've seen Starbucks finishing also on youtube. a far better finisher than Costa.

09 Jul 2019 14:11:09

1.) 09 Jul 2019 14:50:37
Very good business, another striker in an a lot of the dross out an we should be in a good position to challenge for top 6.

2.) 09 Jul 2019 17:36:23
Very good business so far. Key word being business, I hope we can go out and spend a little bit of money on a striker. I'd love to see britt back in this squad.

3.) 09 Jul 2019 18:37:23
It's just our normal buisness freebies and loans in and the freebies and loans that you now call dross out, what makes these players stand out above all those that we've signed?
Might be another lots of dross, benfica haven't exactly given us good players before.
Still think four quality players coming in would have been a better idea, think these are just a punt.
Three of the signings have very little experience and are only 21 and I've heard the hype before with hilda goncalves and dias.

4.) 09 Jul 2019 19:55:18
I think Byram and Hooper (free)? There’s also some youngsters, Walker, Appiah etc I’d be very cautious in spending a lot of money without getting any money coming in. Osborn should go for a minimum of £7m so which would pay for a striker. I can see us going for a young striker too but realistically I think we’d go with 1 up too so can’t see the need for more than 3 strikers.

23 Jun 2019 14:56:11
Unpopular opinion:
Im not overly disappointed with the free transfers we've been linked with (Ameobi, Hutton, Olsson, Adomah, . )
Whilst I understand these players don't seem exciting, as an example, last year McGoldrick was signed on a free by Sheff Utd from a struggling Ipswich side. He served a good purpose for them in their promotion.
My point is there may be a chance same could happen with our potential signings.

Time will tell, I myself won't be judging MON or nffc until the football has started

COYR.

Listen all last season everyone on here giving out about our attacking options when grabben was injured, Murphy was slow, lazy, too old, poor ansarifard was not good enough, now we have a 27 year old signing who banged in goals for Bolton and assisted goals for Bolton last season we as a team are much better than them God knows how well he will do with better players around him but give the guy a chance at least before writing him off.

2.) 24 Jun 2019 10:22:55

if you can get these fees you should be sorting brexit ,lucky to get 1m for the lot
CARLO

2.) 18 Jun 2019 10:57:05
Barcelona rumoured to be after Stuani.

3.) 18 Jun 2019 11:16:58
£2m for Clough tickled me the most.

4.) 18 Jun 2019 11:22:11
Did you get these numbers after playing bingo?

5.) 18 Jun 2019 12:05:47
Just like making an insurance claim .

6.) 18 Jun 2019 12:10:54
Good luck with that J65. Most of them lot will be free transfers to get them off the books.

7.) 18 Jun 2019 12:16:09
Someone had a good night last night.

8.) 18 Jun 2019 13:24:14
Hefele bought for 400k a year ago, Bridcutt 500k when we signed him, Clough was 3.5m, Ariybi rumoured fee is 500k, Vellios was 950k, Cummings 1m. I pretty much halved all of their values.

Regardless of amounts, OUT players aren't good enough IMO, and IN players are of better quality. Again, all prices from reports.

9.) 18 Jun 2019 14:42:48

12.) 18 Jun 2019 23:02:06
Don't see us making profit on steele and Watson, they were signed for free and are now older and not any more impressive

13.) 18 Jun 2019 23:05:26
Well that's a classic rubbish song.
Spam in the pan and all, what a load of.

06 Jun 2019 11:51:56
According to Transfermarkt, 19 of our 32 players have only a year left on their contract.

Notably, in our CM position, only Yates has more than a year (2).
Guedioura, Yacob, Tachtidis, Bridcutt and Watson all have just 1 left.

With 4 of them over 30, and Tachtidis supposedly on the move, I can't see contract extensions for them.

I think we can expect to see many new CMs in a Forest shirt soon.

When you consider Tiago Silva joined us for circa 1.5 million (reportedly), 3 million plus for a player with a year left on his contract is a decent deal for all parties IMO.
