Seems the U18s and U23s are finishing the season very well, unlike our 1st Team.

Yes it’s because they and successful championship sides above and below are teams. Our problem is that players keep coming in ( not going ! ) and it means we play as a group of individuals. Carvalho is an example, he is a team player as I am sure he was brought upto play. So players around him anticipate his pass. Osborne and Lolley team up but I think the rest play too much as individuals. I think we should play more home grown players who have known each other since they were 5! . Walker, Worrall, Grant, Appiah, Johnson , Yates, Cash, Osborne , Smith . Add to that those currently in the first team who are team players. Byram, Colback, Watson , Wague Pele, Robinson There you have a team . Some will argue that there is a deficit of talent. This will be more than compensated by how the game improves by playing together. Surely this was BC’s route to success

If I remember BC brought players in from all over the place as Peter Taylor kept discovering them? It was just that BC and PT knew what positions they needed and what kind of players they could play together. One man does not make a team, they need to play in twos and threes all over the pitch.
